Third ACT bronze for Malaysia

THE Malaysian men’s hockey team won their third straight Asian Champions Trophy bronze medal when they beat China 3-0 in Kakamigahara, Japan, yesterday.
   The tournament, into its Third Edition, also saw the Malaysian women win a historic bronze medal when they beat China 3-1 on Saturday.
    Pakistan won their second consecutive gold medal when they beat hosts Japan 3-1 in the final.
    Faizal Saari scored two goals while the other was scored by Azammi Adabi.
     Before the match started, Malaysia’s Shukri Mutalib received a plaque in appreciation to his 200th international cap.
   Results: Final -- Pakistan 3 Japan 1; Third-Fourth: Malaysia 3 China 0; Fifth-Sixth: India 6 Oman 1.
